Joe K. Walsh

Walsh is known for his beautiful writing and playing, his exceptional tone and taste, and for his work with many of the best acoustic musicians in the world (including the Gibson Brothers, Brittany Haas, Darol Anger, Danny Barnes and Joy Kills Sorrow). With his own band Sweet Loam, or with the wild heart bending string band Mr Sun, or in a duet with guitarist Grant Gordy, Joe blends the virtuosic improvisational excitement of bluegrass with a dedication to finding and creating beauty, offering a moving take on the folk tradition that’s indebted to the past while evolving in the present.
