Emily Braden

Her first ever show in LA. Our first time to the charming and intimate Sam First’s Bar. Arrived early for the first set. Emily was working out the details with her pianist and then came over to greet us and chat. Such radiant energy and a kind soul. She played with her trio of bandmates giving each their moments to shine. Her voice was strong and vibrant and she enlisted tracks from both of her albums and added a Whitney Houston medley arrangement that was fun and engaging. The hour-long set went quickly but she was a treat to see in LA.

Emily Braden is an amazing vocalist. Her voice reminds me of an acrobat, skillfully improvising from one level to the next, then to the next. Never boring, her blended sound is not to be missed! Her exciting song choices from the great American Songbook to current Broadway shows, to pop from the ‘60s on are all wonderfully suited to her voice and please a variety of audiences. Can you tell I’m a big fan?

Wow! Their harmonies were so amazing! I was enthralled with the way they presented their music, as well as the music that was chosen for the CD! You guys are big time pros. Talent, talent, talent! The venue was cozy and sexy. A perfect mix for the sweetness that came from this trio!
