About Tango Kilo
The vision for Tango Kilo began with David Mancha and Randy Jordan. These two long time friends shared the common goal of making music which defined who they were and what they felt about the existing world. Striving to break away from the two man sound Mancha and Jordan incorporated Robbie Kauffman along with various assortments of characters in the bass position, to create a dynamic hub of musical sound in the free-flowing-jam-band style. As the songs began to evolve so did the musical direction, moving away from the free-flow-jam (or ffj as the band refers to it), and toward a more structured, solid sound, which was not complete until bassist Jeremy Lacey was added to the fray. With their band complete and their sound fined tuned Tango Kilo now strives to create classic, yet modern sounding American music.
