Hailing from Southern California, this DJ is known for his top 40 remixes, mash-ups and original productions. Dark Intensity’s sound derives from hard electro beats that are influenced by the sounds of Electro, Techno, Progressive, Hard Style, Pop and his deep passion for Trance. He is inspired by the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Alice Deejay, Deadmau5, and Kaskade, to name a few. You can experience his eclectic style that incorporates multi genres of music into his own artistry. Not only is he one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, you’re instantaneously captivated and mesmerized by his creativity and brilliance. It’s no wonder why Dark Intensity is really making a name for himself.

For more than 6 years, this humble producer has been successfully topping the remix charts as well as creating his own productions. You can ask any club DJ, radio show DJ and even mobile DJ, who’s remix is their favorite or which remix they use the most, the name, “Dark Intensity” will come up time and time again. He’s the name to watch as he rises among the ranks of upcoming remixers and producers. His new releases are hot and have been sought out by both independent and mainstream labels. It’s no wonder why he’s finding success in his endeavors.
THE DJ
Dark Intensity, otherwise known as Manny Martinez, can be heard over the airwaves, clubs and events worldwide. You can find him in his backyard of Southern, California playing at EDM Clubs such as Sutra, Ten, Create and other LA & Orange County venues. He also enjoys spinning at his favorite local pubs playing hip hop, rock and EDM with his crew of friends and family. DJism and music blood runs deep within his Latin American veins. He was born a musician. You can also find him worldwide and especially as a crowd pleasing entertainer of South Beach, Miami. You can almost certainly see him at a meet and greet during the Winter Music Conference. He’ll be there for multiple club appearances, concerts and events.
Radio is also second nature for him as he has various radio mix shows in the United States as well as Europe. He’s also tapping into the Asian airwaves, most currently at a new EDM based station in Tokyo, Japan. The Dark Intensity fan club has formulated a show entitled “I <3 DI”. This hour long show chronicles his mixes, live appearances and fan Q&A. His current mix shows appear on various radio stations which include, I Heart Radio, Element 128, Super Estrella After Hours, Music Choice, Slacker Radio, Fusion Radio, Strictly Dance Radio and as well as many guest spots in American and European radio stations.

THE REMIXER
From his early musical beginnings as a vocalist in choir, entry level guitarist, and utilizing rudimentary software programs, he has come full circle to his productions today. He implements tools such as FL Studio, Pro Tools, Native, Serato and Ableton Live. In the beginning, his breakout remix hit “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum was originally known as a country hit. He metamorphosed a #1 Country Hit into a top Progressive House remix hit overnight. By doing this, he successfully made a name for himself in the remixer world.

Other notable beginnings of his career include Lady Gaga’s album “Fame Monster” in 2009. This grew a huge fan following from Lady Gaga’s “little monsters” for Dark Intensity. The track “Alejandro” is the #1 most played remix on YouTube gaining over 2.1 million views followed by “Poker Face” at 1.2 million, “Bad Romance” at 1.1 million and “Telephone” with 630K views. He is known for his pop music makeovers, so as you can imagine you’ll find popular artist with #1 hits such as Katy Perry’s “Fireworks” with 1.5 million views and J. Lo’s “”On The Floor” racking up 1.1 million views, just to name a few.

Today, his current pop charting remixes include #1 hits by Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake. As EDM has hit mainstream, he also has found success remixing the likes of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, Alesso, David Guetta and Daft Punk. It’s true what they say about the remix, “The remix is always sicker than the original”. Without a remix, a track falls flat. It’s the remix that aids in the success of a #1 hit! That’s why artist and producers seek out the talents of this magical mastermind to make a track a top hit!

THE PRODUCER
Dark Intensity’s original productions are the talk of the town in the EDM world. His releases include “Flashing Lights” ft. Amber Noel, “Adrenaline” ft. Sophia May, “Break the Silence”, “Anywhere with You” ft. Sophia May. He also has done a remake of Ian Van Dahl’s “Castle in the Sky” ft. Marina Bello. This track gives due justice to the original as being a remake in Spanish. This Latin Vocal Trance hit has been revered in the Latin House community as it pays homage to early beginnings Vocal Trance with a Latin flair and a modern twist.
Currently he working on releasing his new tracks which include, Harder Love, Feeling This, Motion and Memory. It will be exciting to see what’s next on the horizon for Dark Intensity.
