Rochelle Rice’s sound combines the best of past and present contemporary music. As a consistent voice on the new music scene, Rochelle has performed at top venues including The Kennedy Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Blues Alley, Strathmore Mansion, Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley, and with internationally renowned and Grammy-Award winning artists such as, Sweet Honey In The Rock and Melissa Etheridge.
Dedicated to social justice and music education, Rochelle has performed at protest rallies, marches and recently sang in honor of the work of Congressman John Lewis. As a music education and social justice advocate, her work has been used by schools, non-profits, and churches where she has developed interactive music history and musicianship skills classes. Rochelle is a regular guest teaching artist for Strathmore Music Center, the award- winning non-profit, BloomBars, and DC Jazz Festival.
