Shotgun Civics

Shotgun Civics are an Americana/alternative rock band based out of Austin, Texas and founded by Jeff Norby. We decided to create music in a way that borrows bits and pieces from a wide range of styles and influences, much like a cocktail prepared with a wide array of ingredients. The flavor of Shotgun Civics starts with a strong foundation of pure classic rock and roll/alternative, then blended, mixed, and garnished with elements of country, blues, soul and folk topped with a splash of psychedelic rock. The resulting sound is a balance between order and chaos of differing contributions, musical styles, influences, backgrounds and sonic aspirations.
