About Humble Williams
I'm a singer, guitarist and I play a bit of harmonica but my primary aim is to write the best songs I know how. Sometimes I play these songs at gigs around Yorkshire and beyond and if I haven't already, I hope I get to play you a song some time soon (and maybe you can play me a song too).
Anyhow, thanks for visiting my page! Give it a LIKE if you like and I'll keep you updated with where I'm singing songs next. My "Official" bio is below, if you prefer to read things in the third person.
"With memorable melodies, dynamic guitar work and honest lyrics, this dry-humoured and sensitive British singer/songwriter, has been captivating audiences for a few years now.
Born and raised in Sheffield, Yorkshire but borrowing influences from further afield, Humble's mission is simply to write great songs. In his world ‘the Song is King’, and as such his writing manifests itself in many guises – ranging from country and americana to folk, soul and blues.
His initial offering was the pop tinged ode to friendship, 'Good Again', - accompanied by its charmingly DIY music video, painstakingly crafted in stop motion. Then came 'A Little More Grace', a tender lover's lament, featuring such lines as “...give me a memory that's worth remembering when you're gone.” Complete with falsetto vocal flourishes and trad jazz chords, it was this song that earned him acclaim with a number of blogs, as well as, regular airplay on BBC Introducing.
Humble is building a cult following through regular appearances around Yorkshire and the North, festival slots, and sessions for various online media channels and the BBC. "
