Turner Porter’s latest offering comes from where Shane O’Malley Firek, songwriter and formerly The Ferdy Mayne, began: folk country stories about misfits, tough love and big Midwestern hearts.
Unearthing a slew of unreleased tracks found on a CD buried in storage, Firek got to work with Ben Collins (Minihorse, Frontier Ruckus) to restore, remix and remaster the songs that gave The Ferdy Mayne it’s initial sound: rough edged, near-punk folk rock for raucous nights.
Chase That Jackrabbit EP, a collection of rough and tumble Americana, is out now on all streaming platforms.
