Fondé en 2013 par Caroline Douret, auteure-compositrice-interprète et Richard Lafleur, guitariste, compositeur et réalisateur, Clara and the Sky est un groupe indie folk montréalais rejoint en 2017 par la violoncelliste, Josée Campeau. Le nom du band est un clin d'oeil aux Beatles (Lucy in the sky), première influence de Caroline et Richard. Il fait aussi référence à la condition humaine, les pieds sur terre, la tête dans les étoiles, thème qu'on retrouve dans le son, à la fois brut et aérien.
