About Shake Before Use
*The Beginning: The rock band Shake Before Use was formed Jerez de la Frontera, Spain in 1999. Jorge Sanz (vocals, guitar), Alberto Curtido (bass) and Chechu Rodríguez (drums) started playing together and composing their first songs within the new wave of bands emerging in local independent scene at that time. All these bands had a common initial point together with Shake Before Use; the tremendous influence of the American and European punk rock and melodic hardcore bands from the 90’s. *'Fragment Music' Period: Antonio Joyanes (guitar) joined the band from 2003 until the release of the first album of the band called ‘Utopiolgy’ in 2005. This album was released by legendary record label known as Fragment Music. The first edition of the album was sold out in less than one year leading as well the first tour of the band around the whole country. It was during the first tour when the youngest brother of Jorge joined the band. Pablo Sanz (guitar) joined the group taking over Antonio’s position that left the band as a personal decision. Fragment Music released as well the band EP called ‘0.194513 Yards’ in 2006. *'Arindelle Records' Period: After receiving the best reviews from the specialized media during the first tours, Arindelle Records released a split of the band together with Kidsgofree. This album was co-released with Devilchild Records in Spain and RMA Records and Teddy Bear Records in France. Some months later it was released the second long-play album of the band (2008). This album, self-titled and mastered by the famous engineer Alan Douches (Thrice, Burning Airlines, Saves the Day…) was valued as one the most promising records of the year by important media press in Spain like RockZone and Mondosonoro. In 2009 the band celebrated its 10th anniversary with a big tour over the country sharing the stage with bands like The Get Up Kids. This long anniversary tour finalised in 2011 playing in a big party in the home town. *Today: Because some personal reasons the band moderated its activity until end of 2012 when it was recorded their 3rd long play album. The recording and mixing was done at Estudio79 by the hands of Rafa Camison (G.a.s. Drummers) and mastered by Mario G. Alberni (Kadifornia Mastering). Desertion will be co-released by Hang the Dj! Records in Spain and RMA Records in France in June 2013. Shake Before Use is back again with full power to present their new album and solid live around whole Europe. Non stop rocking since 1999. http://www.shakebeforeuse.net
