Officer Friendly

Formed in the early 90’s, Rochester, NY-based band Officer Friendly made a name for themselves in the northeast US for their unique, eclectic hard rock sound and their bombastic live shows. Playing regularly to large crowds at colleges and clubs from Buffalo to Boston to DC, the band established a substantial following and sold 4,000 copies of their first 2 CDs independently. Officer Friendly was part of a thriving Rochester music scene in the mid-90’s, which included other popular local bands such as Exploding Boy, Hard Rain, Nerve Circus and Zezozose. O.F. was the local band that appealed most to fans of Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, as their sound was in the same ball park. Their single “I Never Thought” received regular rotation airplay on numerous college and AOR stations. The band received a national sponsorship from Budweiser Music in 1997 and they shared the stage with such diverse artists as Matchbox 20, Letters to Cleo, Anthrax, They Might Be Giants and members of Boston. The members of Officer Friendly are all active musicians still and are spread out across the US. Original rock band born and raised in Rochester, NY.
