About Adam Gouldin - Baritone

Adam Gouldin is a British baritone and teacher based in Leeds. He has studied at Leeds College of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music. Adam has studied with Andrew Kennedy, Gavan Ring and currently is under the tutelage of Tim Ochala-Greenough. Masterclasses have included such renowned artists as Roderick Williams, Rory Kinnear, and Deborah York.

On the concert platform Adam has performed with various chorus' and orchestras, including engagements as an official soloist to Howard Goodall in Leeds Town Hall. He has made appearances as a bass solo in oratorios such as Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini's Stabat Mater, and Fauré Requiem (alongside soprano, Sarah Fox).

As a recitalist Adam was named as an 'Young Emerging Artist' by Leeds Lieder+ and was given the opportunity to take part in their acclaimed festival. He has given recitals for Leeds International Concert Season and Arts@Trinity, for whom he premiered composers brand new works, after being awarded first place in their annual competition.

Operatic roles and scenes, for Leeds College of Music, include Demetrius ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ (Britten), Witch ‘Dido and Aneas’ (Purcell), and The Cold Genuis 'King Arthur’ (Purcell). Adam has also embarked on a European tour with the Belgian company Muziektheater Transparant where he sang the male lead in an opera that was curated from the music of Monteverdi. Performing in such prestigious venues as De Singal (Antwerp, Belgium) and Théâtre de l'Athénée (Paris, France).
