About Majestic Twelve
The concept of "Majestic Twelve" emerged during a period in the 1980s when ‘believers’ believed there had been a cover-up of the Roswell UFO incident and speculated some secretive upper tier of the United States government was responsible. In 1984 documents were found describing "Operation Majestic Twelve". The documents purported to reveal a secret committee of twelve, supposedly authorized by United States President Harry S. Truman in 1952, and explain how the crash of an alien spacecraft at Roswell in 1947 had been concealed, how the recovered alien technology could be exploited, and how the United States should engage with extraterrestrial life in the future. In September 2014 five men were released from the psychiatric ward of the Bridgewater state hospital in Massachusetts. They all suffered from the same psychotic delusion that they were supposedly exiled from their home planet Maffei 1, located somewhere in the zone of avoidance. They claimed that the artful expression called 'music' had been outlawed by an oppressive dictatorship, and that they were the leaders of a rebel alliance designed to stir the people into rebellion and regain their freedom. It is highly probable that these two stories are in no way related to one another. But the truth will never be revealed. All we know is they play some mean form of spacefonkwith heavy basslines, tight drums, crazy lyrics and freaky synths. Ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome to the stage…Majestic Twelve. spacefonk
