Jah Gaïa

Après deux albums au succès détonnant, Jah-Gaïa a parcouru la France en 2013 avec plus de 60 dates au compteur. L’an dernier le groupe remporte aussi la finale France de l’European Reggae Contest affirmant une nouvelle fois son talent et sa popularité auprès du public français. Le combo est aujourd’hui de retour avec un troisième et nouvel album LIBRE qui sera dans les bacs le 6 mai 2014 ! Reggae militant et envoûtant, textes lucides et entêtants aux multiples influences musicales, voilà ce qui caractérise Jah-Gaïa. Depuis 2008 et son premier Maxi «Made In Occident», le groupe ne cesse d’évoluer et de séduire un public de plus en plus large. LIBRE leur tout nouvel album, enregistré en 15 jours dans les studios de l’Hacienda puis mixé et masterisé dans les prestigieux studios allemands Dorian Grey par Umberto Eco et Dieter, marque une évolution majeure dans l’histoire du groupe. On y trouve plus de maturité, une musique réfléchie et qui continue de faire honneur aux fondamentaux qui ont fait le succès des stéphanois. Toujours engagé en politique, militant et ouvert sur le monde Jah-Gaïa nous offre ici des morceaux qui collent parfaitement à l’actualité, à la triste morosité à laquelle nous sommes tous confrontés. «Seconde Classe» et «Patchamama» en sont les exemples phares. Mais les stéphanois savent aussi nous plonger dans l’intimité du groupe, dans l’intimité de chacun avec des titres comme «Petit à Petit» ou «Choisis les mots». La liberté reste le thème principal de l’album qui porte donc bien son nom et qui reflète complètement l’état d’esprit de Jah Gaïa. Sur «Libre» les droits et libertés en France sont remis sur le devant de la scène, rappelés à tous et conscientisés. Leurs voisins et amis de Dub Inc sont présents sur cet album avec «World Sound and Power», véritable hymne au reggae à la musique en général et la simplicité que le groupe revendique. Sur «Peace is The Doctrine» on retrouve Meta DIa fer de lance de la scène reggae mondiale aux influences afro roots qui collent parfaitement avec le message que Jah-Gaïa veut faire passer. Since their first maxi CD “Made in Occident” in 2008, JAH GAIA keep evolving and attracting bigger and bigger crowds. LIBRE their new album, recorded in 15 days at the Hacienda studios, mixed and mastered in the prestigious German Dorian Gray studios by Dieter and Umberto Eco, marks a major step forward in the JAH GAIA story. The album offers more maturity, a thoughtful music, while staying focused on the foundations that have contributed to the success of the Saint-Etienne born combo. Vor sieben Jahren (2005) schlossen sich sieben junge Musiker aus Saint Etienne zur Band Jah Gaia zusammen Der Gründungszweck: Pflege und Weitergabe der unverwüstlichen Reggae Musik. Sie verfeinerten mit engagierter Musik und mit sarkastischen und berauschenden Texten Blues Jazz Soul Rock und Chansons françaises Zu einem eigenem Kosmos. Die Musik basiert auf jamaikanischen und afrikanischen Rhythmen. Ihre Aufführungen wurden durch die charismatischen Lieder von Natty und Deuf gekrönt. Nach mehr 200 Konzerten und einen Maxi unter dem Titel «Made in Occidant“ Veröffentlicht die Gruppe im Juni 2010 ihr erstes Album „ Avec les moyen du bord“.Es wurde vom Publikum gut aufgenommen und unter anderem partnerschaftlich vom Reggae vibes Magazine und Reggae.fr unterstützt. Das Album wurde für die Reggae Webs Award in der Kategorie bestes Album des Jahres ausgewählt und erreichte den dritten Platz. Ein weiterer Höhepunkt war das ausverkaufte Live Konzert für ihr neustes Album „Retour a L’essentiel“ in der Konzerthalle le Fil in Saint Etienne in Januar 2012. Der Erfolg der Reggae Gruppe Jah Gaia in der französischen Öffentlichkeit und Fachpresse hat auch zu ersten Tourneefragen aus Deutschland geführt.
