About Heart Out

When happenstance runs headlong into fate, something akin to Einsteinian Quantum “Spooky” Entanglement occurs. The zygote of Heart Out was conceived in the early '90s, built upon the friendship between guitarist/tattoo artist Eric Brocious and vocalist/writer Peter Tanski. Contemporaries in the rich Hardcore/Punk Scene of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania. Eric did time playing in an array of Punk Rock groups: The Mongols, Scrapple & Sickbag. The latter of which played shows with Grindcore stalwarts Feculence, then fronted by the charismatic ne'er-do-well Tanski. Kindred spirits from the start, the two found themselves in a mutual admiration society, as the ever adventurous Brocious moved on to the horror inspired punk fury of 1428, and Tanski immersed himself in the Progressive Shoegaze Metal/Hardcore Fusion of the Dystalisis Compendium. Meanwhile, percussionist Joey Solimini, of the Somerset League, Workshop 8, and Fiver Beyond, pounded his niche into local Indie/Hardcore, cementing himself into the Scranton Punk community. Again, the wheels of fate were in spin, as Tanski's Feculence and Joey's band shared a rehearsal building and a close friend in Dystalisis' drummer, the late Hans Nothen (of Stillborn Records artist The Way Down). Tanski's musical endeavors ceased as his daughter came into the world, and Dystalisis dissolved, giving way to Jake Lisowski and Jay Hudak's An Albatross, and Nothen, along with Nate Bevan, to sign with Stillborn/The Way Down. Eric expounded upon his enormous artistic talent via tattooing and art school. Giving rise to his burgeoning art career, both on canvas and flesh. Joey also had a daughter/family to tend to, and a career path of his own to follow. Years pass... Enter “Fat Zac” Wilson, bassist of female fronted synth-metal group Last of Nine. Zac, the youngest of the Heart Out crew, spent his formative years pursuing a law degree, fed on a steady diet of beer, squatting, and roller derby refereeing. Zac came upon an ad... Bass equipment for sale. The salesman, Eric... Fast friends, the two bonded over mutual allegiances to all things Punk Rock. The inception of Heart Out... The puzzle pieces coalesced in kind. 4 Punks. 4 devotees with a passion for creating Post everything Hardcore Punk Rock and Roll. The jubilation is evident within the finished product. Their story is left unwritten. Heart Out Punk Rock from Scranton, PA.
