Allen Salmon and Phillip LaRue, collectively known as The Rival, have recently released their self-titled debut, 10-song album on iTunes, Amazon and all other major digital music services. The Rival’s first two singles “Run Run” and “It Ain’t Over” garnered national media attention through major television placements, including Apple’s iPhone 5 launch video. With sharp guitar pop fused with New Wave-inspired rock, The Rival is geared toward music fans who always wanted to hear a collaboration of The Killers, Tears for Fears and MGMT.
