About The Velvet Hands
Just like Joan Jett - we love rock and roll
Press:
“Full of Bolshy Spirit” – NME. “bolshy, brash garage punk rabble-rousers somewhere between the attitude of early Cribs or Libertines colliding with the death or glory of the Clash” – GodsintheTVZine. “A satisfying mix of classic punk, rock’n’roll and modern indie magic” – Dork “we could be witnessing the emergence of another great British band. Jaw droppingly good” – Gigslutz, “Sucker Punch is another fab album from The Velvet Hands” – Louder Than War. Plenty more where that comes from!
Radio
Debut album release “Party’s Over” Radio 1 Album of The Week for Huw Stephens. BBC Introducing – massive support, the band have performed a 30 minute live set on BBC Intro South West and have been a BBC Intro Record of the Week nationally. Huge support from Steve Lamacq at 6 Music, band have been interviewed live on the show. Radio X playlisted. John Kennedy has played every release.
