Atlas The Atom Smasher

Aaron Hibbert and Tyler Bisson started Atlas The Atom Smasher in November 2008, and played their first show shortly after. The entirety of 2009 was spent playing a ton of shows with friends of former bands from all over the country. 2010 brought the band's first set of demos, some more shows, and a crossroads in the direction of the band. Atlas became a two-piece and began writing and recording a whole new set of songs. A little more heavy, a little more complex, and a little more awesome. Aaron and Tyler would play this way for about eight months before finding bassist Josh Wilson, a mutual friend from college. With the addition of Josh, Atlas would go on to release their first EP "Roots Gone Rotten," and do their first actual tour in March of 2011, ten days down to Florida and Louisiana. August brought their second tour, two weeks out to the midwest and down to Memphis. January 2012 will bring the band's second release, "The Snowmiser Suite," and their third tour, three weeks down to Texas, Florida and back, featuring a ten day stint with their best buds Les Doux from Mississippi.
