About Cedar Boulevard
After playing Vans Warped Tour on the Ernie Ball Stage Los Angeles band Cedar Boulevard are poised to take the scene by storm with their unique brand of “hard-hitting, mosh pit-inducing” rock. A combination of soaring choruses, driving vocals resonant of the 80's, blended with a modern edge of rock and metal. The band easily switches gears from riff driven infernos to melodic ballads.
Founded by guitarist Luke Sharp, who left his life in Australia to pursue his musical aspirations, Cedar Boulevard embodies the honesty and reckless abandon that embedded bands like A Day To Remember and Avenged Sevenfold in the bedrock of the scene. Their five-track, self-titled EP, was released in 2015 and was met with critical acclaim, and with the release of their new 13 track full length album 'Turn To Stone' on February 3rd, 2017 the band is set to cement their place among the music elite.
Turn To Stone see's the band cover a wide variety of styles, exhibiting blistering guitars and soaring vocals which are contrasted with slower melodic piano and acoustic aspects; all combined with an orchestral approach to give the album a larger than life sound. The tracks range from somber acoustic ballads, heavy riff driven numbers through to an 8 minute long instrumental showcasing the bands musicianship. Described as “resonant of early-era A Day To Remember, blended into the instrumental force of bands such as Pierce The Veil”, the band combines the contagious melodies of power-pop ballads with the technical prowess of Avenged Sevenfold to create a driving sound all their own.
