Mot Juste

n the fall of 2010, Richard Bean responded to a Craigslist ad from Matt Hutchins, for DJ’s interested in developing a new sound and playing house parties together. After hitting the college party scene, the pair started to quickly move into the local bars in Chicago, playing one off gigs and drawing from eclectic influences from classic soul and funk, to nu disco and downtempo sexy house music. Mot Juste (French for “Right Word”) quickly graduated from residence soirees to playing well-known windy city venues such as Debonair, Rodan, Citizen, Harbee Liquors and the dance-crowd favorite, Beauty Bar. The duo have also played some staple Chicago venues in recent times (House of Blues, Metro) and the duo can now be found producing electronic based music on SoundCloud. Mot Juste is a DJ and Production duo from Chicago.
