About Ian Alexy
Troubadour 21st Century is the new record by singer-songwriter Ian Alexy. Best known for his work with Americana duo Hobo Nephews Of Uncle Frank, Ian expands the possibilities on Troubadour 21st Century with rock grooves and spine-tingling electric guitar flourishes.
This is Ian Alexy’s fifth album as a solo artist, in addition to five albums with Hobo Nephews Of Uncle Frank. Hobo Nephews first earned their live reputation by opening a sold-out national tour for Trampled By Turtles before touring all over the United States as a headliner. Their 2015 song Old Number 4 was featured on CBS Sports.com and soon after went viral.
Ian has received critical acclaim for his work as a solo artist as well. In addition to performing as a solo artist and with his band Ian Alexy and The Deserters, he is also working on a series of documentaries titled Making It Shine comprised of footage of life on the road and in the studio over the past several years. With the world re opening again the Troubadour 21st Century is ready to return to the music life.
“Invokes 80s era Petty and Springsteen.” - Minneapolis Star Tribune
“Stomping Blues Rock reminiscent of Dan Auerbach.” -Minneapolis City Pages
“Brett Favre apparently has an anthem. A folk song for the folk hero.” - Jim Rome, CBS Radio
“Four Stars…of the same breed of songwriters that put folk on the map and I’ll be damned if they haven’t written some of the most beautiful and captivating songs I’ve heard in a long time.” - The Vail Daily
