About Jason Thomas
Mainstream Country Music, If Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks had a son it would be him. Born in Abilene Texas to an Air Force Pilot and public school teacher, Jason Thomas spent his early years there in Abilene before his parents divorced. He then split his time between his parents and spent years growing up in Southern California, Seattle Washington, Kansas City, and a couple of Washington DC suburb cities. Jason Thomas offers a cross genre blend of vocals indicative of his wide spread influence. His songwriting is powerfully meaningful, and his ability to intertwine the labyrinth of life in a metaphorical form is brilliant. He co-produced his last single, “I’m Your Radio”, and newly released single "Roll On" with the fastest up-and-coming Pop/Rock/Country Producer in Nashville, Mark Burch. "Im Your Radio" is a spectacular upbeat arrangement that pays homage to the musical greats of Garth Brooks, Bryan Adams, Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, and Tom Petty. After studying Aviation and Political Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach FL, Thomas received his Florida State Law Enforcement Certificate from the Daytona Beach Community College. He then transferred to a state school in Tallahassee and studied Political Science and international business with an intention to follow in his dads footsteps and become a fighter pilot in the military. After completing his graduate studies, he moved to Palm Beach and was offered a job by a government agency there. He spent many years working a full time job during the day, and chased his other secret dream at night. The transformation from chasing his child hood dream of turning and burning an F-14 to songwriting and playing in a local band in South Florida began to develop, and eventually drove him to pursue this "mission impossible". In 2004, he attended and performed at a songwriters forum where he unexpectedly met Sony/Tree music executive Tom Long. Ironically, and many years later (Fast Forward if you will) Tom went on to co-produce Thomas’ 2008 single, “My Old Man,” a song that charted in the Top 100. "I remember thinking at the time (2004) that this dream in my head of chasing a career in the music business was silly, and such a shot in the dark. I didn't know if I was good enough, and really questioned my ability and talent. I never really imagined that I would have made it this far.....I only dreamed it, and have worked like hell to try my best. I would go to concerts at the amphitheater in West Palm Beach and just study everything. I just kept thinking to myself...I can do this, I can do this. To everyone who has ever has a dream like me.... just go for it... you never know what will happen unless you don't try." (Jason Thomas) In October 2005, Thomas released his debut single, “Somebody Down Here Loves Me” to National Radio. By the summer of 2006, the single was hitting the airwaves worldwide and reached #61 on the Music Row Chart. Thomas packed up and moved to Nashville soon after. Thomas’ first solo album was released to ITunes Music in 2011. Jason Thomas has released the video for the current single "I’m Your Radio" (Written by George Boettcher and Bill Maier), on GACTV.com and his YouTube page. He is also focused on further developing songs with insightful hooks, infectious beats, and a multi-genre vibe. Jason Thomas has opened for such artists as: Sugarland, Phil Vasser, Jerrod Niemann, Trick Pony, Clay Walker, Jake Owens, and Confederate Railroad. He has performed twice for the End of Season NASCAR Party in Homestead, Florida, and for the Homestead Rodeo Association, as well as many other events, fairs, and music festivals across the U.S. Thomas has also performed at fundraisers benefiting the American Cancer Society, The Association of Retarded Citizens, St Jude's Children’s Hospital, the Nam Knights fundraiser for military veterans, Police Benevolent Association, Firefighters Union, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Musical style is a mix blend of Country & Rock.
