Raneem

Raneem is a well established dj and producer currently residing in Montreal with an impressive portfolio of releases on some of the hottest labels in the industry - Armada, Spinnin, and BYM to name a few. He has shared the decks with and has been supported by world renowned artists such as Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, W&W, Dash Berlin and many more, aiding him in building a loyal local fan base and respectable international following. Born and raised in Lebanon, Raneem grew up with aspirations of creating his own signature sound of electronic music. While pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Marketing, Raneem took the artistic leap of faith and began learning music production, sound design, and the art of dj'ing. He credits his musical inspirations to Hans Zimmer, William Orbit, Coldplay, Tiesto, Axwell, Classical music, Oriental & Arabic music, Tiesto and Axwell to name a few, and the subjects of nature, space, music, movies. Now residing in Montreal since 2007, Raneem has collected a series of impressive accolades and accomplishments under his belt including his remix for Joop's "Choices" and his track "Free Fall", which were both heavily supported by Armin Van Buuren. Raneem's original productions "Ray Of Sunshine", "Airglow" and "Katana" all reached the top 20 on Beatport Trance charts, with "Katana" also reaching the top 5. 2016 has already proved to be a busy year for Raneem with the release of his aptly titled single "Ready For Change" in January, while also re-launching his monthly podcast as "The Raneem Podcast" in the same month. February saw "Ready For Change" reach the Beatport top 15 progressive house releases chart, as well as the main release charts. After a residency at Circus Afterhours from 2009-2014 in which Raneem was known for 7 hour extended sets, he prepares for the return of many more sets to come this year at the Montreal based venue. The future looks bright and sunny for Raneem as he plans to release a string of new singles in the coming year, while also growing Komodia Records, the label he co-founded with fellow producer and longtime friend, Emdee. On his journey of musical endeavors, Raneem is inspired to soon be touring the world sharing his love for music, and hopes that you will one day join him wherever in the world you may be.
