About Sarah Saturday

Sarah Saturday
Sarah Saturday is a Nashville-based musician, producer, and multimedia artist creating immersive works at the intersection of music, film, lighting, and performance art. A recipient of Nashville’s Metro Arts Thrive Grant (FY2026) and the Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship (FY2024), she is known for crafting emotionally raw, visually stunning live performances.
Her earlier work was released and toured under the moniker Gardening, Not Architecture, a project through which she performed over 200 shows across the U.S. and Canada and built a catalog of recordings and multimedia collaborations. Her music has appeared in projects including the History Channel's "Dark Side of the Sun" and the feature film "Superpowerless."
Now working under her own name, Saturday’s practice has evolved into large-scale, interdisciplinary performance, integrating original soundtracks, cinematic visuals, choreography, and custom projection and lighting systems into immersive theatre environments.
Her recent work, Voyage, is a 40-minute live visual album that premiered to sold-out audiences in Nashville and Los Angeles and toured the U.S. Fringe circuit in 2025. She is currently developing a new immersive installation, Afterlife, premiering in June 2026.

Life Changing. It’s hard to beat. The Q&A at the end was a lot of fun also. The artist is so generous!
