About Tyler Toliver Fan Page

Tyler Toliver was born in Southern Wisconsin and always wanted to be a performer growing up. He would imitate Garth Brooks, standing in front of the jukebox at the local bar where his mother worked with his plastic baseball bat, pretending that it was his guitar. Tyler's mother Sherine tells us that when Tyler was only 3 years old he proclaimed “I wanna geetar from Sanny Claus.” He got a plastic, battery operated guitar and that was the beginning. He got his first real guitar when he was eight years old and began (rather obsessively) teaching himself to play. His first performance was the 5th grade School Talent Show, where he played and sang “Blue Suede Shoes.” He wrote his first real song by age fourteen. Many things have changed since those days but he has not forgotten his roots. The song “Crazy” Tyler wrote when he was fourteen was recently recorded in Nashville and has been very well received by industry professionals and his fans. Tyler enlisted in the US Marines just after graduating high school in 2007. As a Marine recruit Tyler was named 'Company Honor Man' as well as "Series Honor Man" only one marine out of 4 platoons gets this honor. Tyler rose to the rank of Corporal in less than a year after enlisting. Soon after boot camp Tyler was stationed at Camp David and acted as a presidential guard and later at 8th and I in Washington DC working under the command of the commandant of the Marine Corp. Tyler met his Manager Greg Schick in October of 2009 while stationed in Washington DC at a local concert where Tyler was singing in the back of a pickup truck hoping to get a tip or two to help pay for fuel. Since then Tyler has since made two trips to Nashville to record his Debut CD "Unstoppable" to be released spring /summer 2011. Greg and Tyler's relationship as I have witnessed is very professional but with the closeness that a father and son would share. Together they have made great strides in a very short time with the support of Tyler’s friends, family and incredible Fan Base. In fact Tyler recently finished 63 out of 6100 entrants to a 3 month long contest sponsored by Keith Urban and Guitar Center Tyler has had the pleasure of opening for Joe Diffie, Colt Ford, Tracy Lawrence, James Otto and multiple shows for Darryl Worley (his personal favorite). The fans have been so incredible and supportive along his journey with over 2.5 million page views on You Tube, and 10,000 plus fans on social networking sites. The Fans continue to motivate Tyler to do more every day with his music career. Tyler has performed at over 150 shows over the past year selling out local shows while playing acoustically, where other acts had trouble with a full band. Tyler is currently stationed on an overseas deployment serving his country May God bless all of those that have served and will serve protecting this great country!
