About HERITAGE - Sebastian Demrey & Jimmy Lahaie
Sebastian Demrey & Jimmy Lahaie had a common vision : bring a fresh sound to hymns by revisiting some of the most beautiful hymns of the past centuries. Wishing to keep a more organic sound, the canadian duo decides to use acoustic guitars, mandolin, acoustic piano, string section, percussions and an upright bass. The project also features fellow canadian artist Genevieve Falleur and a renowned Montreal cellist, Carla Antoun who notably recorded with Celine Dion and Cirque tu Soleil.
In the past 8 years, they have released 5 french albums including a Christmas project and a live DVD. Averaging 100 dates a year, Sebastian and Jimmy extensively tour French and English speaking countries around the world.
They have won 5 Covenant Awards (GMA CANADA) as well as being nominated 10 times. Their three latest releases have topped #1 on inspirational charts on iTunes Canada and France.
In the past 8 years, they have released 5 french albums including a Christmas project and a live DVD. Averaging 100 dates a year, Sebastian and Jimmy extensively tour French and English speaking countries around the world.
