About GODS GREEN EARTH

For All Booking Inquiries, Please e-mail us at: godsgreenearthnyc@yahoo.com Q & A By Cailan Bennett Q: How did the band form originally? Answers by Rick Brawler: Gods Green Earth was a vision of Izzy Rock's for a long time. He had mentioned it to me for years. After our old band (Locked in a Vacancy) broke up we decided to make the wet dream a reality! Q: Is the line up you have now the original line up? If not, how did the current lineup come together? A: The original and current line up of Gods Green Earth is Izzy Rock (guitar and Broad Wrangler), Ricky Star aka "The Brawler" (Vocals and making the ladies wet), Jay "MadRock" Madrick (Drums and A2M) and Dennis DenASS (bass in your face). Izzy, myself and Jay played in a basement for about a year writing and smoking, then pulled DenASS in to complete the package! Q: Who writes the lyrics and music for your songs? A: The music is written as a group pretty much. Usually starts with Izzy's guitar riffs. Lots of yelling at each other and Marijuana fueled rehearsal breeds the sound that is GGE. 90% of the lyrics are Rick Brawlers ideas and concept with a little help from Izzy Rock! Usually the stupidist shit is Izzy's idea, like the song "2Fat Bitches and a Bag of Weed". That is Izzy's genius. Q: What are your favorite topics for your songs? A: Sex, Drugs and Rock N' Roll baby. The way it's supposed to be done. Q: What music genre best captures the essence of your band? A: Sex rated Stoner Rock, also known as Porn Rock. Q: What do you think the future holds for this type of music? A: The world is ours. Nothing can stop the erection that is Gods Green Earth. We fuck for the Lord. Haha! Seriously, there is no limit to where this can go. Q: Which song / CD of yours is your favorite and why? A: We have one unreleased album (Blood in the Brothel) to be released by December 2009! The title song off that album is one of my favorites. Just a fun story about cowboys and hookers! Q: What are the best and worst experiences you have had at a show / tour? A: The worst experience at a show, so far, was booking 3 girls to dance for us and none of them showing up. Talk about blue balls! Every show is like a party to us. We want our audience to feel like they just got fucked by the time our set is finished. We played Cha Cha's in Coney Island, New York U.S.A. for Izzy's birthday show. Needless to say, we brought the party! Just 2 songs in, random girls were dancing on the side stage stripper poles. By the end of the set we had more girls on stage than I could count and the whole audience was ejaculating. AWESOME! Q: If you could invite any musician in the world to guest for a single performance, who would it be and why? A: Dimebag Darrell Abbott. Pantera is a major reason why we do what we do. Those motherfuckers knew how to party, and Dimebag's playing was a major influence on Izzy Rock. Izzy actually met Dimebag and hung out with him a few times and even has his signature tattooed on his leg. Izzy called him a friend. Q: What band would you most like to tour with and why? A: Clutch, Down, Faith No More, Nashville Pussy, Valient Thorr. There are so many more. These are all bands that either influenced us or just know how to have a good time. Q: What bands had a major influence on your music? A: Anthrax, Black Sabbath, Cinderella, Clutch, Doomriders, Down, Faith No More, Gwar, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Living Colour, Mastodon, Metallica, Motley Crue, Pantera, Slayer, WASP. Q: If someone asked you: “what makes your band special and why should I come to your show”, what would you tell them? A: There is no way you're not going to have a good time unless you are a miserable fuck or an extreme feminist that cant take a joke! Q: Any big projects / tours coming up? A: There is always a bigger plan! Q: I have seen you play a couple of times, and each performance has been a little bit different. I have seen everything from someone filling a water cannon with beer and shooting it in to peoples mouths and also some pretty hot dancing girls. How did you guys come up with such a unique stage show with what appears to be the whole God's Green Earth "crew"? A: No one wants to see 3 fat guys and a skinny spic stand there rocking. It's a motherfucking ROCK N' ROLL show! You need to bring the party, bring the ladies, bring the booze, bring the rock, bring the debauchery, and bring a fucking good time not to be forgotten. Q: What affect has the bad economy had on your band? A: Well, a lot. I can't afford my happy ending massages any more. Have to grow my own weed. And I'm drinking well bourbon instead of Jack Daniels. Eehck! Haha!! Actually, everything is harder. Most of us have a hard time finding jobs that will let us have the time off we need to rock while still being able to pay our bills. We can't afford to buy a van. The economy sucks and it is affecting every aspect of our rock n' roll. We still find a way to have a good time. No money can bring a bigger smile than the 30-60 minutes we spend on stage. Those are the moments we live for. Q: I thought I would throw in a bonus question for shits and giggles. In your opinion, what's the best porno film ever made? A: I don't think I've seen a porn movie all the way through. SLEAZE, SLEAZE, SLEAZE & Muthafuckin' TREES!
