About After The-Fifth
It's been a long time coming for the members of After The Fifth. This group consists of 4 very talented local musicians from Central Arkansas. Eric Griffith, former guitarist of Calling Drake, Kris Gray, former singer of groups such as Kryostate, Rosavelt, and Maya Blue, Stacy Davis a.k.a Batman, former bassist for groups Silent Static and Mazzy Must and John Williams, former drummer for Livid and Mandango Flush. This group was formed in September of 2011. After being out of the scene, for some, more than a year, Eric was seeking to start a new group and contacted Kris after finding out he too was looking to start a new project. Kris was not hesitant to meet up. Once together, as usual it was jam time to see what each would present to each other. It was like Tenacious D, destiny brought them together. They instantly clicked with one another and meshed musically and vocally very well together. After a few more sessions, it was final. After The Fifth (ATF) was created. The writing process began as well as the recording process. It was during this time bassist Stacy Davis, was seeking a new path in his music career and stumbled upon ATF, whom was in search for a talented bassist to complete the puzzle. After a few rehearsals with Stacy and finally hearing and being able to see the transition of the group's works into masterpieces, it was set that he would be the bassist. John Williams saw an opening for the drum position and contacted the guys for an audition. After two rehersals, it was in croncrete that John was the new drummer. ATF was now a whole. Using their influences and material from past and present times it was clear that After The Fifth (ATF) is dead set to make their mark in the music scene. Their influences are from many. However their focus is to be different than those in the local Arkansas and global music scene. Their goal is to make their music known to the world and become a leading influence for all musicians. Good ol' Rock N Roll!!
