Bill Hudson

Bill Hudson is a rock/heavy metal guitarist based in Los Angeles, CA. He is currently the lead guitarist for the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA and songwriter/studio guitarist for WESTFIELD MASSACRE. Hudson attended the FAAM music college in Sao Paulo, Brazil in order to study music from a different perspective, the classical one. He studied under some of Brazil’s best musicians in pursuit of a degree in Composition. He then decided to move to the United States and attend Musicians Institute, in Hollywood, CA. His later accomplishments in the music industry have earned him the respect of being featured under the “success stories” at the school website several times. He has appeared at some of the most important metal festivals in the world such as LOUDPARK (Japan 2007), WACKEN OPEN AIR (Germany 2012), ROCKSTAD: Falun (Sweden 2012), NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL (US 2006 & 2007) and PROGPOWER USA (2007, 2008 and 2013 and 2014). His guitar playing can be heard on the soundtrack for the METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE, in which Hudson worked alongside producers Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) and Damien Rainaud (FEAR FACTORY, ALMAH). In 2013, he was chosen by ESP Guitars be featured on the cover of its catalog. The company has been using his image as the center of their marketing campaign since. He has also been on the most important guitar magazines and websites from around the world such as YOUNG GUITAR (Japan), GUITAR WORLD (USA), GUITAR PLAYER (Brazil) and others. Hudson has also collaborated with a broad range of styled musicians, such as award winning jazz guitarist Veron Neilly, with whom he toured South America in 2010 and recorded a track on his 2008 "Vernon Neilly & Friends: A TRIBUTE TO STEVIE WONDER". In 2014, he shared the stage with DREAM THEATER singer James LaBrie and MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson for the METAL ALL STARS show in South America.
