bittymacbeth has gone from indie one-woman-band live-looper to innovative producer and band leader - her debut album Beauty For Ashes hit #1 on the iTunes and Apple Music Top R&B/Soul Singapore charts three days after its release; she led a sextet of Singapore's top musicians at her sold out album launch concert at the 250-seater Esplanade Recital Studio.

Slated as a "classic case of petite frame, prodigal talent" by JUICE magazine, her music has already ridden the airwaves from radio stations in Singapore and Australia and been licensed for in-store radio play in the United Kingdom.

Currently 23 years old and on scholarship to Berklee College of Music, bittymacbeth, whose real name is Beth Yap, seeks to be the prophetic artist of her generation - to provide a critique of the status quo and an inspiration to change it, singing what needs to be said through jazz harmony with radio-friendly melodies, complemented by funky basslines and a whole lot of soul.
