Gemma & the Travellers gives a nod to the early deep Soul, R&B, Northern Soul and Funk of the 60's but the unique songwriting gives a refreshing twist. Gemma has a powerful, inimitable voice and the rhythm section replies, as do the uplifting harmonies of sax, wurlitzer piano and guitar.

Signed to “Légère Recordings”, one of Europe best Soul & Funk labels, their début album “Too Many Rules & Games” will be released on 21st April 2017.

Recently aired of BBC radio’s “Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show” and opening live for his show at the Jazz Café in Camden London, Craig described the latest single as a “tasty little nugget”.

Ils nous viennent de Bretagne, mais comme leur nom l'indique, ce sont des voyageurs. Le duo Anglais, aux racines Italiennes et Suédoises, a choisi la Bretagne comme terre d’accueil pour former le groupe. Biberonnés à la culture d'outre manche, fins amateurs de Soul 60's, ils composent une Soul vintage aux accents Northern avec une touche de modernité.
Sur scène, le groupe est une vrai machine à groover, avec de nombreuses tournées en Europe dont le Jazz Café avec Craig Charles à Londres, ils sont tous au service de Gemma dont la voix est à la fois belle et sans équivalent. Une vrai signature vocale pour un groupe à forte personnalité.
