Taking their roots from the end of 2012, the originally Ukrainian based quartet Oceans Red now has members from all over Europe. Massive changes have happened since the release of ‘Hold Your Breath’ EP back in October 2013, and now armed with young Swedish talent Joel Holmqvist’s vocals upfront Oceans Red are ready to move and already working on their debut full-length. «From the very beginning Oceans Red was about experiments and not being afraid to go against common genres or tendencies. We’re proud of ‘Hold Your Breath’ and you’ll definitely hear its echoes in our new stuff, but now it’s time for us to move on. Because once we’re stuck in something – there’s no room for fresh ideas and we won’t be honest to ourselves anymore» – says Sergei Hohlov, band’s bass player, - «Jimmy and I took a big part at writing and recording ‘Hold Your Breath’ and we’ll take care that our old fans would still recognize us as Oceans Red, but at the same time we’re excited on Joel’s and Anton’s (band’s new guitar player) ideas and this will create a perfect mix.» Oceans Red have already started their new chapter with releasing a single entitled ‘Misguided’ August 24 along with a music video to it. The band is planning to go deeper into emotions with music and lyrics for the new record as you can already tell from ‘Misguided’, but in no case getting rid of their former heaviness that you can hear on ’Hold Your Breath’. On November 25 the band releases their new single along with music video under the title "Black Spot".
