About Bera

A superstar in his home country Georgia and an upraising international singer – Bera took a break from his active international career and played a major role during the 2012 Parliamentary Elections. His spirit which carried deep hearted emotions motivated hundreds of thousands and set a precedent of involving historically the largest number of young Georgians in the election campaign. Delivering a sound that combines pop-encrusted vocal hooks with hip-hop swagger and the strut of modern R&B, you wouldn’t be blamed for assuming Bera was an American artist. Born in Paris and raised in the Republic of Georgia, the singer’s earliest musical influence turned out to be American rhythm and blues royalty. “My mom is a big music lover and she had this amazing CD collection at home that I would go through all the time,” says Bera. “I was like 7 or 8 and I would pick out albums to listen to from her collection based on their cover art. The first one I remember picking out was an album by Ray Charles. That’s where it all started for me. I guess I was lucky.” Now 18, Bera counts Michael Jackson, Barry White and 2Pac as some of the key performers who helped inform his radio-ready sound, and he’s also thankful for the early encouragement he found at home. “My parents took me to violin, piano and drum classes when I was a little kid. They taught me at a very young age that art is a symbol of freedom.” A gifted songwriter and singer, Bera attracted the attention of hit producers Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Britney Spears) and Rob Fusari (Lady Gaga, Destiny’s Child) who have both worked with the young talent. “I’m at a place in my career now that I would have never dreamed of years back,” he admits, adding that collaborating with Jerkins and Fusari was a “great learning experience.” “I like to compare the way I work to a film director. A director knows exactly what he wants to see in each frame of film and I’m the same way with each note or lyric I’m working on in the studio. From the demo to the mastering, I’m there every step of the way making sure the song came out the way I originally envisioned it in my head.” – Says Bera“I don’t use pen and paper when I write my lyrics. When I have a lyric that I’m passionate about, I just memorize it and I’ve always done it like that,” says the singer who also records his musical ideas on his cell phone as they come to him. “You see, when I was a kid at piano classes, it was always hard for me to focus on reading the notes since I’m near-sighted. So instead of struggling with that, I would just memorize the entire piano pieces and I was reading the sheet music so my teacher would leave me alone,” laughs Bera. With such raw talent and an artistic vision beyond his years, it’s just a matter of time before Bera’s dance floor-ready sound is all over radio in the States. “Making it in America is like winning a world championship in the sports world. But I’ll never just do a song to get it on radio, and I don’t care what kind of marketing plan you have because ultimately, the fans choose what they love or don’t. That’s why I’ll just keep on releasing the music I believe in and let the public decide whether they want to be part of my world or not. I’ll let the music do the talking.” The Official Page for the Singer BERA! Listen to My New Track - https://goo.gl/DxJTGK
