Black Flamingos

Black Flamingos formed in the summer of 2014, when Vincent Minervino (drums) conceived the band name, and invited mutual friends Robbie Butkowski (guitar) and Declan O'Connell (bass) to a mid-week rehearsal. Word spread quickly of this new power trio making waves on the east coast - combining elements of instro surf, spy & western. In its first 2 years, Black Flamingos headlined the Asbury Park Surf Music Festival and The Race of Gentlemen, and supported 'King of the Surf Guitar' Dick Dale, Agent Orange, Messer Chups & Daikaiju. Black Flamingos' debut self-titled EP released in October 2015 through Little Dickman Records. The band released 2 singles in 2016, and appeared on the 'Seasonal Favorites: Volume 4' holiday compilation from Double Crown Records. Black Flamingos' first full-length album Neon Boneyard releases May 19, 2017 through Little Dickman Records/Hi-Tide Recordings. Catch Black Flamingos on tour this summer with Surfer Joe, at the Surfer Joe Summer Festival in Livorno, Italy supporting The 5.6.7.8s, at Viva East Rockabilly Weekender, and Asbury Park Surf Music Festival supporting Los Straitjackets, The Fathoms & Aqualads.
