There are multiple bands using The Squares moniker:
1) French garage rock band consisting of Nick Normal (The Cheeraks, Thundercrack and The Normals), Ollie Dolot (Thee Headcoats) and Stanley.
2) The original line-up of the piano-rock band Pants Optional disbanded in May of 2004. The members that remained (Nate Archer, drums; Shaun Hettinger, keys & vocals; Jeff Wild, guitar & vocals) decided to press on with a new perspective that comes with writing, gigging, loving and losing in the inundated LA music scene. Equipped with a more mature approach to their music, new and improved songs, and a stockpile of synth hooks that will dig into your brain and stay there for a long, long time, The Squares have risen from the ashes of Pants Optional, prepared to conquer Los Angeles once and for all.
