About Clarence Tilton
Out on the left edge of the Midwest, Clarence Tilton has crafted an authentic sound that pairs tube amps and Telecasters with Nebraska’s pulsing prairie — living somewhere near the crossroads of Americana and Heartland rock & roll. Formed in 2014 from Omaha’s storied rock scene, Clarence Tilton’s intelligent, evocative storytelling is anchored in the familiar, from family legacy and small town living to beat-up pickups and the great outdoors. Comparable to the best of their neo-outlaw brethren, and as easy and hopeful as a glass of whiskey, they transcend mainstream country tropes, adding personal experience to modern societal issues.
The prolific five-piece features three songwriters, brothers Chris (guitar, vocals) and Corey Weber (guitar, steel-guitar, vocals), and Paul Novak (guitar, vocals), rounded out by its rhythm section featuring Jarron Wayne Storm (drums) and Craig Meier (bass). The band has already released two road-worn full lengths, "Clarence Tilton" (2015) and "Start Already Lost" (2019), as well as a 2018 EP, “Word Rolled In.” Their energetic live performances have seen them share the stage with the likes of Marty Stuart and Band of Horses, among others. With a highly anticipated 2024 full-length on the horizon, Clarence Tilton promises to further carve their distinct path forward.
