About Pink Lint
Pink Lint is the Berlin based songwriter Oliver Burghardt. A city like Berlin provides attentive residents with too many impressions rather than too few. Instead of complaining about sensory overload, Pink Lint absorbs these impressions and then processes them in his music. The result sounds a bit like a mixture of “Blue Velvet” and “Bambi”. Garnished with found sounds and field recordings, Pink Lint's songs become sonic and lyrical origami.
In his Neukölln apartment, Oliver Burghardt aka Pink Lint works on his musical laboratory experiments – orchestral recordings are blown up and birdsong gets bent into shape. Together with long-time collaborator and producer David Hoffmann he has now finished his third album "Ü" – a comprehensive work somewhere between anti-folk, indie and avant-garde pop. In the production process numerous small "happy accidents" happened – the album's many story fragments and small sonic coincidences represent Pink Lint's allowance of imperfection and Oliver’s joy in openly communicating these imperfections. “Ü” will be released on October 1st 2021 on Listenrecords

2014 saw the release of Pink Lint's label debut "You might lose a few Teeth but it's fun" which was recorded and performed with a six piece band. After the band dissolved in 2015 Oliver turned to David Hoffmann to record new songs in 2017 – “Don't pull the Rug from under your Horse" was released in 2018 via Listenrecords.
