About Preuteleute

Preuteleute is a Belgian group, from Ostend. The leadsingers are Alain and Ook Alain. They make covers from already existing songs, and remake them with another text, mostly with a sexual content.

The songs are all sung in Ostends (a local dialect), except one in Spanish, so no one besides residents from Flanders will understand them.

Their first album "Ostendsche Pretensche" was released in June of 2005 in a limited edition, not available in record stores. It become a local hit and even after stock ran out, it continued to spread among people from the region.

They released their latest single on December 15th 2006, called Kestmussel. On the CD you can find two songs, "Kestmussel" ("Christmas mussel") and "Etter etwien etwoa etwoaschen etwa gezien?" ("Did someone see something somewhere?"). It's only available in one shop in Ostend and over the internet.

Since 12 august 2007, on the Paulusfeesten in Ostend, Levenslessen (van Alain en Ook Alain) has been released. It's their second CD so far. The CD counts 16 songs, featuring etter etwien etwoa etwoaschen etwa gezien, stroent, mussel, etc... They made a few songs that are covers from famous songs by John Lennon/ McCartney, Donovan Leitch and Leonard Cohen.
