About Jesse Stone Music
Jesse Stone, "I am a profession, Canadian songwriter and touring musician from Montreal. I am a prolific songwriters, with over a hundred compositions in the country rock and folk genres. My performances generally feature strictly original music and I have distinguished myself as an artist who regularly can carry a 4-hour night with only original material. In 2017, I performed over 100 dates in over 50 venues in Quebec and Ontario. In 2014, I released my debut album Break Of Day, which featured Sam Roberts Band drummer, Josh Trager. The album received full-page articles in both the Montreal Gazette and The Dominical, a printed weekly magazine in Madrid, Spain. In 2017, I signed a licensing agreement with Universal Music Group for use of the album’s single, ‘Fisherman’ which was translated to Portuguese, recorded and released in September, 2017 by Universal and Brazilian recording artist, Allison Lima. After graduating in Music Business Administration from TREBAS Institute, I founded the online magazine, Hotsoupe.com (2013), which hosted Montreal concert photographs and reviews. Hotsoupe.com was voted Montreal’s #3 best website by CULTMTL.com’s annual poll. Hotsoupe.com was hired by Sennheiser Canada to host video interviews of Sennheiser stage bands at the 2013 edition of Osheaga Music Festival. That same year, I produced the 3-day music showcase and fundraiser “Hot Soupe Present’s Bandstand” which featured 15 bands, a rotating panel of Montreal music industry professionals and raised $7,000 dollars for the Just For Kids Foundation, an affiliate of the Montreal Children’s Hospital. In 2011, I interned as logistics assistant for the Just For Laughs Festival and I interned for the Montreal label Justin Time Record. From 2014 to 2016, I interned for the production and creative service company Good Sense & Co. in Brooklyn, NY, which produces the Tribeca Film Festival and whose list of clients includes Youtube, Facebook, and Google. With Good Sense I assisted in concert productions that featured acts such as Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Joan Jett, and Cheap Trick. In 2016, I completed the Audio Recording and Production program at the Institute of Audio Research in New York City. I’ve been writing and performing original music for over ten years. As early as 2009, when I was 19 I was invited by Terry Dimonte onto Calgary radio station Q-107 to perform my original songs live on the air. I started writing music in high school and began performing in the public arenas as soon as I could legally walk into a bar. I honed my performance abilities in the open mic circuit, spending 2 years as a open-mic host myself. I have thousands of hours under my belt of songwriting and performing and managing my career. I’ve steadily immersed myself deeper into my craft so that it now encapsulates nearly all aspects of my life. I’m 28 years old and songwriting and performing is my full-time profession."
