A Morbid Curiosity

Creating a unique blend of styles ranging from bay area thrash, to metal-core with death-metal elements. A Morbid Curiosity is based out of Fremont California. The combination of driving guitars, melodic bass, thunderous drums, and gut wrenching vocals that will have you head banging until your nose bleeds.(this actually has happened) Dominating the stage with high energy, and including the crowd with their antics, they are truly a band not to be missed live. Originally starting in the summer of 2014 with the dismantling of their previous band Damian Smith and Richard weaver recruited Shane Stillwater on vocals and shortly thereafter completed the ensemble with Rick Chaves and Stan Byer. The name A Morbid Curiosity was inspired by the actual thought that put the band together “just out of a morbid curiosity what would happen if these guys joined together to form a band?” then when discussing material it was decided what better than concept albums and to kick the whole thing off let’s do a modern twist on Grimm Tales. Since June A Morbid Curiosity has been busy playing shows all over California’s northern Regions ranging as far south as Fresno, and far north as Vallejo. Playing anywhere and everywhere they can from dive bars to some of the larger venues the greater bay area has to offer. They have shown incentive to expand while also showing great support in the local scene, sharing the stage with local and touring acts at toy drives, benefits, and awareness for autism and cancer events. They are always down for a cause. A Morbid Curiosity is a driven musical beast that isn’t slowing down anytime soon and the future looks bright. The year 2015 is expected to see an expansion in Merchandise, release of their first full length album and a U.S. tour starting on May 29th. After a US Tour come short the band split ways with vocalist Shane Stillwater and have continued to write and play shows. A brutal blend of metal ranging from core to thrash, and everywhere in between.
