CR THE BEAST

“More doe to get, more shows to rip ...” There are various factors that come into play when one is regarded as legendary. Dues must be paid, paths must be paved and establishments within ones respective field must be made. CR The Beast has done this and then some, establishing himself as the go to person not only as a DJ or graphic designer, but also as a tastemaker, trendsetter and influencer within the New England music and nightlife scene. While all these titles s may sound great on a resume, they have come as the much-deserved result of hard work over a span of years. CR literally did begin in the basement, running his own successful music label and has gone on to find success in every endeavor that he has directed his attention to. From sharing billings with the likes of DJ Premier, Wu Tang Clan, DJ Tony Touch, Mac Miller to name a few, to creating slews of mixtape projects for Karmaloop, Ecko Unlimited and The New England Patriots, to collaborating with Scion, Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes and Shadyville DJ Mr. Peter Parker on his #HHDYH series which led to CR himself being welcomed to the Shadyville team as an official DJ on their roster, as well as being responsible for creating some of the most visually appealing marketing tools anyone has seen in a long time. CR has certainly lived up to his title as a Beast. Although CR is also widely recognized for having the nightlife and club scene within his region nestled comfortably within the palm of his tattooed hand, setting the standard for what is viewed as an official event / party, his own mixtapes offerings such as Michael Jackson VS Jay Z [MJ3 FADE2Jack], Electronic Dream Remixed w/ Arabb Muzik and Biggie Blends w/ The Legendary Ron G are loved and supported, globally. Additionally, he takes great pride in the work he continues to do within his home state of Rhode Island, namely the launch of the highly acclaimed open mic “The Bridge”. This event, which takes place weekly, provides a platform for both up and coming and established musicians to do what they love – perform, and in turn allows CR an opportunity to stay connected and inspired by individuals who are as hungry as himself, despite having figuratively cleaned his plate, professionally, on numerous occasions. Whether it the area of DJing or graphic design, what CR offers in terms of professionalism, creativity and passion for his craft are indeed a rare find, but are certainly the characteristics of a legend and a beast.
