About Lorraine
Lorraine are a 3 piece electro-pop band from Bergen, Norway.
The members of the band are: Ole Gundersen (vocals), Anders Winsents (guitar) and Pål Myran Haaland (keyboards and programming).
They used to have a black box for a drummer and have had a few live drummers. Mid-way in 2006 they introduced a new live drummer (he's not officially part of the band).
They released two 7", an EP and their debut "A Perfect Cure" on the local label Rec 90 in 2003
In 2006 they were signed to Sony BMG/Columbia and released their first major label single called I Feel It which entered the UK singles chart at a very respectable 30.
In early 2007 they started recording their next album and they were signed across to RCA (which I understand is the pop label under the Sony umbrella).
You can notice they are influenced by Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk and DeVo and they've also been compared to Suede.
In 2006 they toured with the Pet Shop Boys, a-ha and The Feeling.
The band's name comes from the Back to the Future movies and are named after the character Lorraine Baines McFly (the Mother of the character Marty McFly) played by actor Michael J. Fox.
