About Subsoil "Hip-Hop Fusion"

Subsoil embraces musical diversity and wordplay from their front men/emcees Moon-Roc and Laz Green. Teamed with a cadre of like-minded musicians, Subsoil has grew into a self-sufficient entity whose debut full-length release entitled “Worm’s Eye View” (2009) made waves in their regional music scene of upstate NY. "Dirt Worship" (2012) was the exciting and polished follow up to their debut that pushed the band even further into more cities and markets within the East Coast of United States. Their new record "On the Bus" (2015) is available right now and is moving fast through word of mouth and online communities as their best and brightest record to date, gaining passionate attention from many new listeners and elating long time fans. With a new rhythm section, vision, and songs the future looks limitless for the band and their fans old and new! Subsoil has had the honor to share the stage with such international acts such as; George Clinton & the Parliament Funkadelic, Blues Traveler, John Brown's Body, Shrub, Tropidelic, Rubblebucket, Badfish, Easy Star All-Stars, Kung-Fu, Dopapod, Consider The Source, The Movement, Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad, Chali 2na, Afroman, Jean Grae, Louis Logic, Action Bronson, and Sophistafunk among many others. Subsoil is Rochester, NYs own "Bohemian Boom Bap Champions!" "Worm's Eye View" 2009 available on CD Baby, Amazon & iTunes http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/subsoil "Dirt Worship" 2012 available on CD Baby, Amazon & iTunes http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/subsoil2 The dirt is the foundation from which life grows. The dirt and vegetative muck left over from our last ice age could support only very small plant life, when those plants died, decomposing by natural processes, preformed by the millions of microbes that made up that ancient dirt, that decay became part of that dirt. Those fungi & bacteria helped create more dirt. More plants lived then died, creating more dirt, the deeper it got the more life it could support. Thus our soil was and continues to be, formed by this cycle of decomposition, and regeneration. This is true as well in music. Subsoil is cutting edge live Hip-Hop Fusion to the Roots
