About Eric Grothe & The Gurus
The Gurus are solid, rockin’ party covers band that has its origins from Sydney bands, " Three Day Grothe " & "Dave Gleeson & The Stilsons".
Rugby League legend Eric Grothe (Snr) fronts the band on vocals & guitar.
The band has been delighting Australian audiences since 2007 and have featured many special guest vocalists including: Dave Gleeson (The Screaming Jets), Jon Stevens (Noiseworks), Wolf Mail (USA blues legend), Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus), Mark Gable (Choirboys) and Mike Vee (Whispering Jack).
Other members of the Gurus are:
Dave Cunningham: bass & vocals, (ex Vegimite Reggae),
Patrick Hopkins: drums & vocals, (ex Dave Gleeson & His Band The Stilsons, Wolf Mail),
Ted Brennan: guitar & vocals (ex The Booze Brothers).
Darren Lane : Keyboards (The Wolverines)
