Scarlet Sway

They say married couples in bands can be a disaster but what happens when you add in two sisters as well? Believe it or not, this isn’t a punchline but Dawson’s own Indie-Rock band, Scarlet Sway. While the family ties do have the potential to bring forth some awkward tension they in fact only strengthen the band’s chemistry. If Led Zeppelin, Heart, and No Doubt had a baby the end result would be Scarlet Sway. There is nothing better than sister harmonies and Kim and Karli are a prime example. They’ve had a busy three and a half years together including playing a pre-show for Journey at the EnCana Events Centre, rocking out on the GrizFest stage, and doing their first tour around Southern BC this past spring. Currently, they are writing songs for their upcoming EP and will be heading down south to begin recording in September. Be sure to be on the lookout for this up and coming band.
