Friends Like Us is a dynamic Post-Hardcore/Pop Punk band that burst onto the scene in the summer of 2024, born from the passion of a group of friends initially looking to kickstart a cover band. The lineup features the John Robert Bridges, David Coalter, Matt Jerozal, Bradley Burton-Rodriguez, and Ben Leal.
John and David created a successful cover band called the Smashing Pixies and wanted to start a new band that focused on 2000s era music. They discovered Matt, a local vocalist who had been captivating audiences with his covers on TikTok and Instagram, and invited him to join their musical journey. With Ben laying down the beats, they began jamming, but something was still missing—a bass player. John reached out to Bradley, a longtime collaborator from their days in Zeddemore and the Bradley Rodriguez Band, and the lineup was finally complete.
With a fresh sound and a fire to create, Friends Like Us started writing their own songs. They hit the stage for their first electrifying sold-out show in Cocoa, FL. Riding that wave of momentum, they entered Creative Cult Recordings with Logan Clough in September 2024 to lay down their original music. Their debut single, "Spark," dropped on November 22, 2024, igniting their journey in the music scene and signaling that Friends Like Us is here to make waves.
