Carolina Limón

Biography Ever since I was a child I’ve had a great interest in anything related to music, to such a degree that I have discovered my passion in other areas, like radio and TV broadcasting. I started learning piano at an early age, I took an audio course at the Berklee College of Music, and got certified as a Pro Tools Operator in music, becoming one of the first Mexican women to do so. I adore music in all its genres and I have always had the opportunity of participating in various musical projects, making use of my keyboards and synthesizers; in my dj career, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the love I have for music which such diverse talented personalities such as Felix Da House Cat, MSTRKRFT, Steve Aoki, The Bloody Beetroots,Crookers, Heidi, Sandra Collins, M.A.N.D.Y., Staccato (Gina Turner & LOUISAHHH!!!), Mord Fustang, Claude Vonstroke, Toxic Avenger,Yolanda Be Cool, Lee Foss, Dj Joy, Ugly Non Djs, El G, Calle13, Kinky, A Band Of Bitches, Lützenkirchen, Nortec Collective, Popof, Nervo, Otto Knows, Magda, Sander Kleinenberg, Richy Ahmed, Jamie Jones, 50 Cent, Jonas Blue, Robin Schulz and many more. Some of my most memorable accomplishments are becoming one of the first djs in Baja California’s electronic music scene and the first female Mexican dj to play in Habana, Cuba. I made my debut in the United States playing the SXSW International Festival at Austin Texas and in 2013 I played the Pa'l Norte Rock Festival in Monterrey. Currently I keep discovering new things in the audiovisual territory, since I finished the Audiovisual Bachelor Degree, another way that I’ve been able to integrate my love of music, creating music for short films and directing music videos, which led me to found “Lemon Bros Media” with my brother Israel Limon to give shape to new audiovisual projects. As a composer and producer I have become the motor that pushes the artist collective from Common Time Records. Biografía Desde niña tengo un gran interés por todo lo relacionado con la música, a tal grado que a través de ella, he descubierto mi pasión en otras áreas, como la locución de radio y televisión. Desde chica empecé a estudiar piano, cursé estudios de audio en Berklee College of Music, además, me certifiqué como Operadora Musical de Pro Tools, siendo de las primeras mexicanas en hacerlo. Algunos de mis logros más memorables son haber sido dj pionera en la escena electrónica en Baja California y haber sido la primer dj mujer mexicana en tocar en la Habana, Cuba. Hice mi debut el 2012 en los Estados Unidos tocando en el Festival Internacional SXSW en Austin, Texas y en el 2013 toqué en Pa'l Norte Rock Festival en Monterrey. Actualmente continúo descubriendo nuevas cosas en el territorio audiovisual, ya que terminé la Licenciatura en Medios Audiovisuales, otra manera en la cual he logrado integrarme componiendo música para cortometrajes y dirigiendo videos musicales junto con mi hermano Israel Limón bajo “Lemon Bros Media”. Como compositora y productora me he convertido en el motor que empuja el colectivo de artistas de Common Time Records.
