About Dark Ride Brothers
Dark Ride Brothers - “Country Music Made In Finland”
In the US, country music is a way of life. On the old continent, however, hardly anyone has played country music with as much passion as the Dark Ride Brothers from Finland.
The Dark Ride Brothers were founded in 2014 and are based in the beautiful city of Imatra near the Russian border. Vesa Winberg and Sven Langbein (a German expat) wanted to try out whether this Finnish-German combination would be able to create credible country music.
The Dark Ride Brothers have been playing a lot of concerts from the very beginning, and an event which pushed their music to an entirely new level was their first studio session. Teemu Aalto (producer of Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum) has taken the Dark Ride Brothers under his wing, and together with him, the band released their first five singles: "One More Time" (a more traditional country song), their hit "Jetplane", which enjoys broad international popularity on Spotify and can be heard on several radio stations around the world, "Falling in Love", the DRB gig opener "The Dark Ride" and "Wasted Sundays", a powerful ballad.
In addition to Sven and Vesa, there are currently four more brothers in the band: Risto Hyytiäinen (guitar), Henri Sepponen (bass), Joni Takalo (drums) and Juha Oksanen (violin).
After several festival gigs, DRB toured Germany in August 2017.
