Project VOICE

Love love love Sarah and Phil, they're eloquent, insightful, and well-rounded poets -- able to inspire both laughter and tears. One thing to keep in mind is that they are extremely against pictures and videos, as we learned the hard way. We didn't think it was any harm because we only wanted to take one picture to remember the night, however, as soon as we put our phone in the air, as were other people, we felt as though we were called out specifically. As for the venue, the church itself was very dark, had beautiful stained glass, and limited washrooms. If you're on the shorter side I would recommend arriving early so that you can actually see them on stage. I had to constantly move my seating position so it felt like I wasn't just listening to an audio recording. The show started late and ended early which was a tad disappointing because I was looking forward to hearing more of their work in person. Regardless, we still had a good time and are excited to see them again, hopefully sooner than 9 years and in a bigger venue with a projector and raked seating.
