CallField

Callfield is a three piece Indie Rock band based out of Peterborough Ontario. Callfield had first begun in early 2013 when Niall Jensen (vocals), had introduced his friend, Travis Marino (drums), to one of his bands mates, Eric Piil (Bass/BackupVocals), from a metalcore/progressive band that Niall had previously joined in the late winter of 2012. Niall and Eric had intended to get together after having met, to compose some music of their own due to their similar tastes in music. Shortly after introducing the two, they began playing music in the basement of Travis' mothers home. After noticing that all of their musical abilities seemed to match up with one another, they began composing music of their own, incorporating they're influences from much more renown indie bands such as The Arctic Monkeys, We are Scientists, and The Kooks. After a month and a half of jamming together and writing, they had formed a 8 song set list of original compositions prompting them to begin scheduling shows, which had led local promoters to add them on the bill to more local shows, gaining expierience but also a thirst for more shows as well as out of town gigs that they had began aiming for after 2014 had passed. Eric had contact with an old work colleague of his, Reilly Farmer, who also happened to be a local producer with a home studio of his own. Pill and Farmer had begun discussing doing some recording for Callfield after having came across the topic, and decided to give it a shot. Niall and Travis had then met Farmer and were on board with the idea of recording a 4 track self titled EP. Callfield aim for rock that has a very “In your face” nature, with upfront vocals, flaring guitar leads hovering over solid drum rhythms and groovy bass lines, all coming together to form an indie rock group that is fast, melodic, and sharp as nails.d from Peterborough Ontario.
